14 - Brazil Classics Vol.1 - Beleza Tropical - Various Artists

It's one of those days...Uno...P.A.S effect! So, I feel like an egg that was just crushed in a hot pan...boiling and wanting to be cooked.
While hypnotized humanity keeps on voting and watching TV,
I witness in solitude the last hours of a World.
Life's getting heavier by the day and without the support of MUSIC,
I would have gone nuts long ago, dudes!
In Times Like These...!!!, music is THE muse indeed...to inspire us towards higher realms of existence...to lead our mind back to the Heart space. To bring ENTHUSIASM back in days like today! Nada Brahma!

Don't be mislead by the "Various Artists" thing...this is THE one-of-a-kind album published by David Byrne of Talking Heads...on his own label. In an effort to promote 'other' music, Mr Byrne went on publishing himself this totally awesome compil. and further works of Brazilian and Latin music in the 80s.
Best artists, best songs...best Brazilian album in my vault.
Perfect answer to my nervous situation today.

CARAMBA! I'm feeling much better here !!

09 - Signs - Badmarsh & Shri

It's been the roughest period to say the least...
and this morning the passing of Baba rung a very loud bell for me,
as well as quite a few millions others dudes.

My entire life, I have been tested, prepared...for the time at hands. So I feel...

~~~~~@)&(@~~~~~
Badmasrh & Shri is a very recent discovery for me, and an instant favorite...
The opening title "Signs" is this sort of tune U wanna play for a couple hours on 'repeat', obsessive and dark, yet groovy and lingering
Appart from tracks 2 & 5, this album is a cracker and the kinda stuff I feel like listening to this evening...Pretty moody
Signs - Badmarsh & Shri
Life is one big road
Life is one big road with a lots of signs
signs and more signs you've got to make up your mind
Life is one big road with a lots of signs
signs and more signs you've got to make up your mind
to face reality all the time
many ha sorrow many ha joy
never you try to take life for a toy
some doing good and some doing bad
but least of the bad can be drivin' me mad
but when the sun shines today i go on my knees and i pray
I say lord let me have joy, i say lord let me have joy
Never let me have no sorrows, i say lord let me have joy
Never let me have no sorrows, oh no, no, no
Life is one big road
08 - Sathya Sai Baba - Embodiment Of Love Never Dies.!
Let's Give Thanks & Praises Unto Him, Jah Sai Baba..
Lord Of Lords...
For He Lives In the Heart of His Devotees...
For Iva & Iva. Jai Sai Ram!!
Be Blessed in Alac
Dig the lyrics as well!
No one ever dies...or is ever born.
All this is only the glamor of Maya, the power of reversal in the Absolute, Pure Consciousness.
Maya...who gives the feeling of Self in the Non-Self, and the feeling of Non-Self  in the Self.
Avatar Sai Baba IS MahaMaya !! The Great Maya... no humans can EVER fathom.
The body which was left behind, this morning, by God at Prashanti Nilayam was the biggest pile of karmic garbage to ever walk on Earth...Let it go, for our own sake!!!
The Gift of God is Eternal Life...Love Him and U will Live... Hate Him... U will Die.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL TO SEE THE TRUTH.
Suprabatam - Daily Waking/Greeting Prayer
Embodiment Of Love Cd's feature Sai Baba's voice singing Telugu verses, backed by out of this world fusion music...outstanding and certainly one of the most touching piece of devotional music ever, ever recorded.
EMBODIMENT OF LOVE Vol 2
Be Blessed in Alac
N'joy the lyrics here.
 I have spent about 7 years of my life in Puttaparthy,
where Sai Baba was born and where He left the body today.
It's been the most awesome adventure and constant proof of God's Absolute
 powers of Omnipotence, Omniscience & Omnipresence.
I am looking forward to the next step...from the form... to the formless.!
Even for Swamy, entanglement with the physical body must have been a pain in the @$$, and I am plain joyful that He is finished carrying that cross.
Those who imagine that being God walking on Earth must be cool never took a serious 5mn to consider the actual meaning of BEING GOD ON EARTH.
I felt compassion towards the human aspect of Sai Baba all along...
for the patience and the cruel feeling God must have to be completely ALONE.
At all times... Hence Creation!
So let's keep on moving, dudes...for God is back in His Office of Creation...
It's gonna Rock & Roll, seriously!!
Bom Shiva!!
O6 - Kila & Oki - La & O - Kila & Oki
When it comes to fusion of genres, there is hardly nothing as surprising as to realize how musicians from VERY different backgrounds can merge and create a totally novel music.
Here U get Kila...an Irish band (I have yet to discover), merging with Oki, the Ainu (first Japanese tribe) singer and Tonkori player.
I heard somebody saying: " Hey...they all come from look-alike islands...!"
...and indeed... there is something to it...that might as well be the mysterious reason for their exceedingly beautiful cooperation.
And there is - no doubt - an unmistakable islandish quality to their self-titled album... No, really!
It didn't strike me at first...but it's there...the marine wind...
Anyway...this music had to be played, dudes! That's all.
Ah...and if U don't like Irish music, check this out nevertheless. Awesome I tell U.
O5 - Thieves Are The Richest Men In Babylon
U probably discovered The Richest Man In Babylon 10 years ago...U listened to it tons of times and it reminds U of at least 3 ex-boyfriends/girlfriends or one of Ur best acid trip. Well, for me Thievery Corporation just fell with the last rain.! In fact, it's a continuous shower of novelty since I started digging into music blogs... just recently.
Heaven's Gonna Burn Ur Eyes - Live
I could emphasize about it, but I won't. I just copy/paste a few comments from YouTube on
Heaven's Gonna Burn Your Eyes.
  • It was the ending song of their last tour. To see the crowd silenced, the singer with tears in her eyes, the sound from heaven touching your soul... Best moment in my life!
          Thievery Corporation must have sold their souls to the devil for one, only one, perfect song and that's  how this song was born... no other logical explanation.
Biliander 2 months ago
  • this album has changed my life   alexweath 2 months ago
  • @Biliander . I think the better explanation is they were sitting there, and they made a deal with God and he decided to inspire them to make this song. and the inspiration was a free tour of heaven.
2001 - THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON
04 - Hang On...! Made by Manu Delago...in Silence.
Hang means 'hand' in a Swiss-German dialect...here we go.
Lol! This is probably the most amazing instrument of the millennium!
Hu...U know about the hang drum, right? Sure !
Hang Solo
I stumbled upon a guy demonstrating the hang in the street market, one Sunday of 2004 in Tel-Aviv. Immediately entranced, I wished to get one. Shortly after, one of my students acquired one along with a monochord, brilliant!...sadly, we didn't find much time to use them.
2010 - MADE IN SILENCE 2
As For Manu Delago, never heard ! I found a post about Made In Silence 2, a few days ago, without description. I felt attracted, downloaded and got smashed!! Now, I suggest U urgently grab this total killer...
After reading this, I am fascinated by the potential of a musical talent so rich and creative with such a yet-to-explore instrument. This will be playing over and over on my ipod, dudes.
03 - The Silk Sound - Liu Fang
OK, I must admit, the surprise is mine...
See, as I went on creating this blog few days ago,
I had no idea which music would get posted first.
It seems to be some quantic order working from behind the scene...
could be what they call God's Will.
From Liu Fang I know very little...
(I guessed it's a man's name and assumed it so...oops!...
till I read about Her yesterday before to compose the post...)
Liu Fang on guzheng
Frankly, I wish to share the music...data about the artists is very much awaiting the curious cultural addicts some place else. Like here or there, suffice to say that Liu started on the musical path at 6 and is considered world No1 pipa player...
What U won't find on Wiki/MySpace yet is my impressions while listening to the Silk Sound
sitting alone under a shady tree by the side of a pristine, isolated mountain river...
lost in the western ghats along the south Indian coastline.
Well, no kidding dudes! That's where I am right now, with pen and paper. ( I'll post this on my laptop when I'll be back tomorrow or sometime.) And this album is playing in my solar powered iPod + X-mini sound system. I slept by the river last night...as often. Except this time I woke up around 2 am from a fight or flight feeling as a thunderstorm was heading towards my piece of lost jungle.
Yep! This was my first time...alone.
I had a 2 hours big time rain/lightnings last year, also by April's full moon at the same place. But I was with a dude and it came by sunset and round 10pm all was clear and the rocks were all dried up, the night was sweet in my hammock. In fact that evening I fully enjoyed playing in the warm river while the storm was raging just above our heads. I didn't feel anything was wrong
(like splashing in the water just below lightning bolts!?)
Somehow, last night wasn't so smooth.
Well, I had to pack up my mess real quick and throw my sheets and blankets under a  rock right there. Rain started within minutes so I had no time for options. I had barely enough space to turn on my side under that rock, and the floor was very sloppy, covered with small to medium sized pebbles.
2006 - Silk Sound
The only time I had a worst bedding was when I crashed on the floor of the kitchen wagon in an Indian train ...once.
Last night I was hopping for the storm to be passing rapidly, however it rained till the morning with long thunder rolling sounds.
No doubt, I did surrender... cause I finally did sleep in there! Though not much...
What's the connection with "Le Son de Soie" (french title for this album, also printed on the cover), U ask?
Hu? But...don't U get it? After this once in a lifetime night, I am now sitting in awe, by the river, under a mesmerizing blue sky where patches of puffy white clouds are cruising.
I listen to Liu Fang, dudes...and it is more than perfection for my Taoist mind.!
So, makes sense to U at last? Well, then...Grab this gem in Alac
Now, close Ur eyes if U are in the city, in some random room...just close Ur eyes really! U will see better while listening...and vice-versa.
Liu Fang
02 - Nujabes - Metaphorical Music
That is to say, I am no Hip-Hop fan, dudes...!
However, this is Japanese awesomeness.
Yes, I am so glad Nujabes - (Jun Seba) came out of the big big blue...
it sounds like what I wanted to hear for a long while already. Pshhhhhhhhhh!!
The soul behind these musical gems is no longer locked down here,
released during a car crash in Tokyo, early 2010.
However, the records will stay, for all of us to be delighted till the end of times.
 Mystline
I am still listening to these tracks with a beginner's ear, hmmm, just so good!
Most are sweet and groovy ballads, even melancholic tune.
01 - Once Upon A Time In Blogland...Dub Qawwali.
Aloha Humanity..!
I finally watched myself creating this blog today.
I 'm quite amazed how things works.
Never really thought it would happen, Uno...
Anyway the job is done, soooo...  Let's get in da groove!
First post kinda thing... cool special treat for all earthly beings.
Bethe Bethe Kese Kese
2007 - DUB QAWWALI
Cause Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is much, much so much greater than Michael Jackson... all humans deserve to hear him sing, and because Dub is to Qawwali what miso is to tahina (tahini, for the mentally weak)... a welcome novelty.
This rocks almost too much for average ears... I can't get over some of these tracks.
Bethe Bethe Kese Kese, the opening killer has blown my mind since first listen... sleek & smooth dub thing!
Gaudi has done some incredible work, crafting groovy electromagic around Hon. Nusrat Fateh's unforgettable spirit.
track 7, Ena Akhiyan Noo describes joyfully the Heavenly Gardens (Pardesi/Paradise)... makes me wanna dance in the living room.
Serious bass lines with soaring Qawwali solos, I mean... C'mon!
N'joy alot... earthlings!
